The SIGMATEST 2.070 is a portable eddy current instrument which measures the electrical conductivity of non-ferro-magnetic metals based on the complex impedance of the measuring probe. The measuring range for the instrument is established by calibration.

When unknown test pieces are measured, the instrument converts the complex impedance value to an electrical con-ductivity value. The electrical conductivity value is indicated on the instrument’s LCD display.

Designed for multipurpose use, the FOERSTER TCM serves as a unifying platform for various eddy current testing systems, streamlining mobile testing requirements. This versatile device integrates established products, enabling eddy current residual wall thickness measurement with the DEFECTOSCOP for deep-penetrating low frequency (LF) testing, as well as high frequency (HF) testing with the DEFECTOMETER for eddy current surface crack detection. Now, both residual wall thickness measurement and the detection of the smallest cracks can be accomplished within a single device.
The TCM platform also offers conductivity measurement of non-ferromagnetic materials, making it an ideal solution for diverse testing needs. The intuitive touch interface allows users to select individual tasks through corresponding apps, including functions for eddy current flaw detectors and eddy current array flaw detectors. Automatic probe recognition ensures optimal test and measurement parameters, delivering the best possible results.
Available software modules include:
DEFECTOSCOP: A universal eddy current flaw detector capable of using rotating, HF, and LF probes for comprehensive testing.
SIGMATEST: Measures electrical conductivity of non-ferromagnetic metals.
ECA (Eddy Current Array): An eddy current array flaw detector utilizing sensor arrays with up to 512 channels for enhanced detection capabilities.
Whether for bore hole crack detection or as a surface crack detector, the TCM platform meets a wide range of testing applications, ensuring efficiency and precision in every task.
